6.5-Inch 2-Way Component Speaker System

The JL Audio C1-650 is a 2-way component speaker system engineered to provide substantial audio performance in a format designed for easy installation behind factory grilles. Each C1-650 system includes two 6.5-inch woofers and two 0.75-inch aluminum dome tweeters. The woofers utilize a proprietary, stamped, steel 6.50-inch frame and a DMA-optimized motor system. They feature a mineral-filled, injection-molded polypropylene cone suspended by a rubber surround, with a flat Conex® spider to precisely control voice coil motion. Tinsel leads are carefully routed to prevent fatigue and buzzing, employing features and materials typically found in more expensive loudspeakers. The edge-driven aluminum dome tweeters offer superior high-frequency clarity and definition, with excellent off-axis response and extension. They are further enhanced by a silk surround suspension, Ferrofluid damping, and a neodymium magnet circuit. An in-line, 2nd order high-pass filter with Advanced Tweeter Protection Circuitry is included to improve smoothness and power handling. For installation versatility, multi-application adapter rings are included with the woofers, allowing for drop-in installation in vehicles with oversized 6.5-inch and 6.75-inch speaker openings. Without the ring, the woofers can also fit many 6-inch speaker locations. The C1 tweeters come with both surface and flush mount options.
