The Kicker 45KM654 KM 6.5" 4 Ohm Coaxial Marine Speakers are engineered for robust performance in marine and powersports applications. These speakers boast an IP66 rating, ensuring they are protected against dust ingress and powerful water jets, making them ideal for exposed environments. Key features include a 6.5-inch UV-treated polypropylene woofer with a Santoprene® surround and a UV-resistant polymer basket for durability. The 3/4-inch PEI tweeter provides crisp, detailed highs and resists corrosion. For enhanced protection, the speakers have a locking/sealed terminal cover and a sealed motor structure to prevent water and debris intrusion. They are designed to work optimally with 65W RMS (195W peak) of power and feature a 4-ohm voice coil for easy matching with marine head units and amplifiers. Installation is straightforward, with rustproof 316L stainless-steel mounting screws included. The speakers are designed to fit standard 6-1/2 and 6-3/4 openings, though the frame is noted as being larger than typical 6-1/2 speakers. Two grille color options, charcoal and white, are provided to allow for a customized aesthetic. These speakers have passed rigorous weather testing, meeting or exceeding ASTM G154 (UV) and ASTM B117 (salt/fog) standards, ensuring their longevity in challenging conditions.
