The Hertz MPK 165.3 is a 6.5-inch component speaker system engineered to deliver a wide low-frequency response, making it ideal for vehicles where a dedicated subwoofer might not fit. Its MP 165.3 woofer utilizes V-cone® and Boundary Free Surround technologies, providing outstanding dispersion characteristics and high Sound Pressure Level (SPL) output within a compact size. This system features a dedicated MPCX 2.3 crossover designed to complement the woofers' extended range and ensure a smooth transition to the MP 25.3 tweeter for natural sound reproduction. The woofer's efficiency is maximized by a 1mm low parasitic resistance copper filter coil. The crossover includes a tweeter level adjustment (0/+2 dB) for fine-tuning the acoustic emission to match the woofer's output. Construction highlights include a high-density flux ferrite magnet with low-carbon iron plates for reduced distortion at high power. The acoustically transparent aluminum alloy basket offers low mounting depth and features an elegant diamond cutting with an aluminum Hertz logo. The system comes with a full-protection metal mesh grill and an inner mineral powder-coated grill for versatile installation options. Power handling is rated at 110 watts continuous and 220 watts peak.
