6.5-Inch Lift Kit

The BDS Suspension 6.5-inch lift kit is engineered to elevate the stance, performance, and capability of 2020-2026 4WD Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD trucks. It offers a No Torsion Bar Drop System, mounting torsion bars directly to the lower a-arm to eliminate the need for a dropped cross-member and maximize ground clearance. This comprehensive kit corrects suspension and steering geometry for optimal on-road handling. Key components include high-arched 1/4-inch thick steel crossmembers, multipiece differential relocation brackets, and heavy-duty skid plates for robust off-road protection. The front suspension is further enhanced with CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles to correct steering geometry at the new ride height, along with sway bar drops and stainless steel brake lines. In the rear, replacement lift blocks and u-bolts are provided to achieve the desired stance while maintaining ride quality and load capacity. This kit also incorporates FOX 2.5 Performance Series HTO shocks, which feature position-sensitive rebound damping technology to reduce harsh top-outs and improve ride comfort, especially beneficial with larger tires. The shocks have a 2.5-inch aluminum body for heat dissipation and an internal floating piston (IFP) to separate oil and nitrogen. Important installation notes include: requires frame bracket modification, a Torsion Bar Tool (GM tool #CH48809) is necessary, and models with a two-piece rear driveshaft will require a carrier bearing drop kit. Note that factory 17-inch and 18-inch wheels cannot be reinstalled due to tie rod end interference, though stock 20-inch wheels can accommodate up to a 35x12.50 tire. Minor trimming of inner fender shrouds and the front bumper valance may be needed for certain tire/wheel combinations. This kit is not compatible with AT4X or ZR2 models due to their different lower control arm profile.
