The DFC Street Series Long Block Engine is a high-quality remanufactured engine designed for diesel enthusiasts replacing their Duramax. DFC improves on factory weak points, incorporating an EDM oil pump shaft with a hardened dowel and a Woodruff Keyed camshaft to prevent slipping and oil pressure loss. They use Rottler machining equipment for tolerances tighter than OEM specifications, and only select the best cores for remanufacturing. The short block features near-identical weight piston and connecting rod assemblies for smoother, more balanced operation, and includes reinforced internals with new pistons, rings, doweled oil pump, bearings, and rods. Cylinder heads receive new cast guides and new MAHLE or SBI valves. Common cracking areas in the cylinder head are addressed by machining out factory hardened seat material and installing new SBI valve seats for increased durability. The engine includes a complete short block with front and rear covers, oil pan, new internal components, cylinder heads with rockers and pushrods, a dowed oil pump gear, woodruff keyed camshaft, and a complete gasket kit. It's manufactured in an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Quality Management System facility.
