This DFC Diesel Remanufactured 6.6 LLY Long Block Crate Engine is a cost-effective and durable replacement option. DFC implements significant improvements during the remanufacturing process to enhance longevity, even in high-horsepower applications. Key features include an EDM oil pump shaft with a hardened dowel to prevent slipping and oil pressure loss. The engine is machined using Rottler equipment for precise tolerances that surpass OEM specifications. It features near-identical weight piston and connecting rod assemblies for smoother, quieter, and more balanced operation. Reinforced internals include new pistons, rings, doweled oil pump, bearings, and rods. The cylinder heads have new cast valve guides and all new MAHLE or SBI valves. The included Compstar-Durastar crankshaft from Callies features a Deep DuraCase nitride treatment for durability and wear. It has drilled rod journals for reduced inertia and easier balancing, True Form fillet radii, and a keyed timing gear. The stroke is 3.898" with OEM journal diameters and width, and it is constructed from hardened 4340 steel. The damper fit is dual keyed, and it accepts OEM post and flange bolts, as well as OEM flywheels/flexplates. Main bearing oil holes have lead-ins for enhanced cold start oil flow to rod journals. The long block includes a complete short block with front and rear covers and seals, oil pan, new internal components, cylinder heads with all rockers and pushrods installed, a doweled oil pump gear, woodruff keyed camshaft, and a complete gasket kit for installation. This engine is manufactured in an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Quality Management System facility.
