Overview

The KB Diesel Hood Stack is a component designed for 6.6L LB7 Duramax engines from 2001-2004. It features a V-Band joint for simplified installation and is constructed from 304 stainless steel with 3.0" smooth sweeping mandrel bends.

Installation requires the customer to install four 1/2" G5 cross bolts near the turbo and may necessitate adjustment of the transmission dipstick tube. 2001 models may have tight clearances with AC lines, though fitment is possible. California-style LB7 turbos might require trimming a tab on the downpipe flange. This product is intended for racing/sled pulling use only.

The KBDP Hood Stack is a USA-made exhaust component specifically designed for 2001-2004 6.6L Duramax Chevy and GMC LB7 engines. Constructed from durable 304 stainless steel, it features 3.0" smooth sweeping mandrel bends and a V-Band joint to facilitate easier installation and adjustments. This hood stack is intended solely for racing and sled pulling applications. Installation requires the user to fit four 1/2" G5 cross bolts as close to the turbocharger as possible. Adjustments to the transmission dipstick tube will be necessary for proper fitment. While the unit is designed to fit with the AC lines in place, 2001 model applications may experience tight clearances. Additionally, California-style LB7 turbos will require trimming one tab on the downpipe flange. The approximate location for the hood hole is 21.25 inches towards the passenger side from the turbo centerline and 8.5 inches forward from the turbo outlet, with some variance possible due to the V-band joint rotation.
