6.8-Inch Capacitive Touchscreen Digital Multimedia Receiver

The Kenwood DMX500S digital multimedia receiver features a 6.8-inch WSVGA capacitive touchscreen designed to fit into standard single-DIN dash openings with its compact 3.38-inch installation depth. This receiver supports both wired and wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing users to access navigation, music, and apps directly through the display. Note that this unit is a digital media player and does not feature a CD or DVD drive. Advanced vehicle integration is available through the iDatalink Maestro RR/RR2 module (sold separately), which enables the retention of factory features like steering wheel audio controls, secondary displays, and factory amplifiers. For compatible vehicles, this integration can also display real-time performance data, battery voltage, and climate controls. The receiver is also SiriusXM ready, though an optional tuner and antenna are required and sold separately. Audio customization is provided via a 13-band DSP graphic equalizer and digital time alignment. Connectivity options include front, rear, and subwoofer preouts at 3.7V, along with a 2.1A rapid-charging USB port and rear-view camera input with parking guidelines.
