The Kenwood DMX5710S is a digital media receiver equipped with a 6.8-inch WSVGA capacitive touchscreen that provides a high-contrast, clear display. The unit supports wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, enabling hands-free calling, navigation, and music streaming. Wireless smartphone mirroring is also available via the MirrorApp+ application for compatible devices. For enhanced audio performance, the unit includes a 13-band graphic equalizer and time alignment, allowing users to tailor sound staging to their specific vehicle interior. The receiver supports playback of various high-resolution audio and video file formats from USB sources. The short chassis design reduces the unit's mounting depth, facilitating easier installation in a wide range of vehicle dashboards. Vehicle integration can be expanded using an iDatalink Maestro RR or RR2 module, sold separately. This integration allows users to retain factory steering wheel controls, amplifiers, and secondary displays, while also providing access to vehicle performance data, climate controls, and battery voltage on the receiver's screen. The unit is also SiriusXM radio ready, though a separate tuner is required for operation. Additional safety and convenience features include a rear-view camera input with adjustable parking guidelines and integration options for compatible K40 or Escort radar detector systems. Power and charging capabilities include a high-current 2.1A USB port for rapid smartphone charging.
