6-Channel Class D Amplifier with DSP

The Kenwood Excelon P-XR600-6DSP is a 6-channel car amplifier featuring Class D amp technology and a compact design, making it suitable for installations in tight spaces where higher performance amps might not fit. This amplifier delivers robust power, outputting 75 watts RMS x 6 at 4 ohms, 100 watts RMS x 6 at 2 ohms, and can be bridged to 200 watts RMS x 3 at 4 ohms (4-ohm stable in bridged mode). It is CTA-2006 compliant and incorporates a 10-channel 32-bit 192 KHz digital processor for advanced audio tuning. The integrated digital signal processing provides flexibility for independent tuning and equalization, crucial for optimizing sound with varying speaker setups and cabin acoustics. Fine-tuning is managed through the Kenwood DSP Control App, which connects to the amplifier via Bluetooth on a compatible device. The app allows for comprehensive control over selectable high- and low-pass filters (31-19,900 Hz) with slopes up to 24 dB/octave, as well as 13-band graphic and 3-band parametric equalizers. Time delay and alignment features are also included to precisely position the soundstage. Two user modes are available: Installer Mode provides full access to all controls, while User Mode restricts adjustments to EQ and time-alignment presets, and subwoofer volume for simpler operation.
