6-Inch Black Protect-A-Boots

Constructed from a high-temperature resistant glass fiber material treated with a proprietary coating, these sleeves offer robust protection against extreme under-hood heat. This shielding prevents burn-through, hardening, and cracking of the boots, ultimately helping to avoid misfires and backfiring. Each 6-inch Protect-A-Boot features a 1-inch internal diameter and a double-wall construction for enhanced durability and heat resistance, capable of withstanding up to 1200° F direct continuous heat. They are also non-flammable and protect against chemicals and water. The inclusion of a reinforcement ring at the base of these boots allows for straightforward plug removal during maintenance. These boots are designed for universal fitment, accommodating most straight or angled spark plug boots, including those with 45°/135° angles. This product is made in the U.S.A. and comes in an 8-pack. For applications with tight bends, DEI also offers a Ringless version. If you are working with thicker boots, such as those from MSD or Taylor, the Protect-A-Boot™ Ringless Sleeves are recommended due to their larger diameter, which facilitates easier installation.
