6-Inch Lift Kit

The BDS Suspension 195H is a 6-inch lift kit engineered to enhance the stance, performance, and capability of 1992-1998 Chevy and GMC Suburban, Tahoe, and Yukon 6-lug SUVs. This comprehensive upgrade is designed to accommodate up to 35-inch tires, offering a significant improvement in ground clearance and off-road protection. This system features a high-clearance design with heavy-duty upper control arms and CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles, which correct suspension and steering geometry for improved on-road handling without altering track width. The front lift utilizes torsion bar drop brackets, 1/4-inch thick steel crossmembers, differential relocation brackets, and heavy-duty skid plates. The rear lift is achieved through a replacement lift block and add-a-leaf combo, or optional Glide-Ride leaf springs, to level the stance while retaining ride quality and load capacity. Precision-tuned Gas Charged NX2 Nitro Series shocks are included for the rear. Installation of this lift kit requires several modifications and specific tools. Exhaust modification is necessary. A special tool (Kent Moore Tools Part #J-36202-A) is required for torsion bar adjustment and is not provided by BDS. Frame bracket modification and differential mount modification are also required. Models equipped with the auto-trac New Process 246 transfer case may necessitate a new front driveshaft. Aftermarket wheels are required, and specific tire and wheel fitment details are provided in the instructions. Furthermore, the system may not be compatible with some 1988-1995 vehicles equipped with spindle-mounted front ABS sensors. Four-door models will require the 121002 Torsion Bar Crossmember Kit.
