6-Inch Lift Kit

The BDS Suspension 6-inch lift kit is engineered to enhance the stance, performance, and capability of 2008 Dodge RAM 2500 and 3500 4WD diesel-powered trucks, offering clearance for up to 36-inch tires. Up front, this kit features diesel-specific Pro-Ride progressive rate coil springs for a comfortable ride, along with longer control arms and a relocation bracket to optimize axle alignment and maintain factory handling characteristics. It also includes a forged drop pitman arm and track bar bracket for steering correction, bump stops, sway bar links, and your choice of NX2 Nitro Series or FOX 2.0 Performance Series nitrogen-charged shocks. In the rear, the kit utilizes heavy-duty cast steel blocks and longer u-bolts to achieve a 4-inch lift, complemented by matching NX2 Nitro or FOX 2.0 Performance shocks. Alternatively, a BDS leaf spring option is available for a 5-inch rear lift, which reduces axle wrap and provides a more controlled feel. Installation requires moderate difficulty and an estimated 8 hours, with tools such as a cut-off wheel, grinder, pitman arm puller, and welder recommended. Important notes include the need to measure the rear axle tube before ordering, as some models may require specific u-bolts. Driveline vibration, while unusual, may necessitate an appropriate transfer case drop kit or index kit, available separately, and exhaust modification is required for dual rear shock kits on 6.7L Diesel models. Additionally, if the steering gear box has been changed and the sector shaft diameter measures approximately 1-1/2 to 1-5/8 inches, part # BDS082404 must be added to the kit.
