6-Inch Lift Kit w/ NX2 Shocks

The BDS Suspension BDS601FS is a 6-inch lift kit engineered to enhance the stance, performance, and capability of 2009-2013 Dodge RAM 2500 4WD gas-powered trucks. This comprehensive kit provides ample clearance for tires up to 36 inches in diameter, significantly improving the truck's aesthetic and off-road readiness. BDS has engineered longer lower control arms to correctly rotate the axle for optimal alignment, along with a relocation mounting bracket that flattens the upper control arm angle, preserving factory handling characteristics. Steering geometry is optimized with a forged drop pitman arm and a heavy-duty track bar drop bracket to ensure proper alignment throughout the suspension's travel and recenter the front axle. The kit includes bump stops, sway bar links, and your choice of precision-tuned NX2 or FOX 2.0 nitrogen-charged shocks. In the rear, the BDS601FS utilizes heavy-duty cast steel blocks and longer U-bolts to achieve the desired lift height. A matching set of NX2 Nitro or FOX 2.0 Performance shocks is provided to complement the front suspension. The Pro-Ride Coil Springs are manufactured from high-tensile steel and designed as direct OE replacements, ensuring reliability without premature coil bind. Installation details indicate a moderate difficulty with an estimated time of 6-8 hours, requiring tools such as a cut-off wheel, grinder, sanding disc, pitman arm puller, and a welder. Important notes for installation include measuring the rear axle tube before ordering, as some 4-inch axle models with dual overloads may require a specific U-bolt kit (#4068). Power Wagon applications require sway bar link kit #122401, resulting in a net 4-inch lift due to its inherent 2-inch taller ride height. If driveline vibration occurs, a transfer case index kit (#122801 or #122802) may be necessary. Additionally, rear brake lines #102009 are not compatible with 2012-2013 models.
