6-Inch Lift Kit with NX2 Shocks

The BDS Suspension BDS129FS lift kit is engineered to enhance the style, handling, and capability of your 1977-1987 Chevy and GMC 1/2 ton truck or SUV. This 6-inch suspension system provides ample clearance for up to 35-inch tires, allowing for more aggressive off-road use and improved aesthetics. The front of the kit features BDS's Glide-Ride leaf springs, designed with a multi-leaf progressive spring rate and a triple-stage leaf spring design for a smooth ride under various load conditions. These springs offer increased wheel travel and higher articulation due to their tapered and roll-pointed leafs and bolt-style leaf alignment clamps. The front also includes a 4-inch steering arm for correction, brake line brackets, and precision-tuned NX2 nitrogen-charged shocks. In the rear, the kit utilizes a high-strength lift block and longer u-bolts, complemented by a matching set of NX2 Nitro shocks. The Glide-Ride leaf springs are built to outperform, providing flexibility throughout the suspension cycle with features like anti-friction pads for a smooth and quiet operation. Installation is considered moderately difficult and typically takes 6 hours. Some notes for installation include: verifying rear leaf spring length (52" vs. 56"), potential need for a front sway bar shackle link kit if equipped with a factory sway bar, ordering auxiliary shocks if your vehicle has factory front dual shocks, and possible exhaust modification to clear the front driveshaft.
