The BDS Suspension BDS180H is a comprehensive 6-inch suspension lift kit designed to improve the stance, performance, and capability of 1999-2006 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 4WD trucks. It incorporates a No Torsion Bar Drop System, mounting torsion bars directly to the lower A-arm to eliminate the need for a dropped torsion bar cross-member, thereby maximizing ground clearance. This system allows for the fitment of up to 35-inch tires. The kit enhances off-road protection and strength with high-arched 1/4-inch thick steel crossmembers, a multi-piece differential relocation system, and heavy-duty skid plates. It corrects suspension and steering geometry for improved on-road handling through the use of CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles. Additional front-end components include sway bar drops, bump stop extensions, brake line brackets, and CV spacers. In the rear, the kit offers options for replacement lift blocks or full Glide-Ride leaf springs to achieve a level stance. The lift block option maintains original ride quality and load capacity. New u-bolts and brake line brackets are included for the rear, along with precision-tuned NX2 Nitro or FOX 2.0 Performance Series shocks. The installation difficulty is rated as difficult, with an estimated installation time of 8-10 hours requiring tools such as a cut-off wheel or reciprocating saw, a torsion bar unloading tool, and a welder.
