This kit surpasses the Procomp series with its larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, an increased number of pistons, and standard full-floating rotors that enhance self-centering within the caliper. The calipers themselves are crafted from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring lightweight construction, exceptional strength, and resistance to corrosion, while internal aluminum pistons provide superior heat management. The floating two-piece rotor design allows for slight movement, improving self-centering, reducing brake drag, and boosting overall performance through more even brake application. Customers can choose between slotted rotors, recommended for track use, or cross-drilled rotors, which offer better cooling for daily driven vehicles. Standard SC5 NAOC Ceramic pads provide optimal street and occasional track performance, minimizing dust, noise, and rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F - 1022°F. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also included, offering a firmer pedal feel, quicker response, and eliminating line expansion under pressure. This Big Brake Kit is specifically designed for the Mini Cooper (R56) S Model from 2007-2013. It fits 2WD vehicles only.
