This sophisticated, bolt-on system surpasses the Procomp kit with larger calipers, 400mm slotted rotors, and an 8-piston design for superior performance. The calipers are precision-machined from a one-piece billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring lightweight strength and resistance to corrosion. They incorporate aluminum pistons, which offer enhanced heat resistance for consistent operation under demanding conditions. The kit features standard floating two-piece rotors, allowing for slight shifts to self-center within the caliper, reducing brake drag and improving pad application for better performance. Included with the kit are Ksport's SC5 Street Pads, designed to offer optimal braking in street and occasional track use. These pads provide a 50% reduction in brake dust compared to race pads, along with reduced noise and rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F - 1022°F. The system also includes D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent line expansion under pressure for a quicker, firmer pedal response compared to stock rubber lines. This big brake kit is specifically designed for the 1988-1992 Mitsubishi Galant VR4 AWD models. Ksport offers custom caliper color options, including standard painted colors and premium high-polish finishes, with custom color finishes also available. The kit comes with slotted rotors as standard, with an option for cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily drivers, while slotted rotors are advised for track use.
