The Supercomp kit features an extreme lightweight, one-piece caliper, CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, weighing just over 5lbs and incorporating integrated protection grooves. Standard components include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates, contributing to improved pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM designs. The kit utilizes a 2-piece disc assembly to minimize rotating and unsprung weight. The unique slot design on the rotor effectively reduces braking noise and expels gas and pad debris more rapidly than conventional designs. Every rotor is heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. For daily drivers, cross-drilled rotors are recommended for cooler operation, while slotted rotors are advised for vehicles prioritizing track use over daily driving. The opposed piston caliper design offers a substantial upgrade in rigidity and improved pad wear characteristics.
