This advanced bolt-on system builds upon the Procomp kit, incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, an increased number of pistons, and standard full-floating rotors that enhance self-centering within the caliper for improved performance and reduced drag. Each caliper is meticulously crafted from a single piece of aerospace-grade aluminum billet, ensuring exceptional lightweight strength and superior corrosion resistance compared to cast or welded alternatives. The floating two-piece rotor design allows the outer section to move slightly, contributing to better self-centering, reduced brake drag, and more even pad application. Included are Ksport's SC5 Street Pads, formulated for optimal braking performance in street and occasional track conditions. These pads offer a significant reduction in brake dust (50% or more compared to race pads), noise, and rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F - 1022°F. The kit also features D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which eliminate line expansion under pressure, leading to quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel than stock rubber lines. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily drivers due to better cooling, while slotted rotors are suggested for track use.
