This caliper weighs just over 5 lbs and utilizes a differential bore configuration with an opposed piston design. This advanced design greatly improves pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM components. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The inclusion of stainless steel brake lines ensures they remain rigid and prevent expansion under pressure, providing a more consistent pedal feel. Ksport utilizes a 2-piece disc assembly to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight, contributing to better overall vehicle dynamics. Many applications offer a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing warping and cupping of the braking surface.
