Each extreme lightweight, one-piece caliper is precision CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, weighing just over 5 lbs. It features a differential bore configuration and machined-in protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard on every caliper are aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design dramatically improves pad wear and enhances caliper rigidity compared to OEM components. Stainless steel brake lines are included to prevent hose expansion under pressure, ensuring optimal brake feel and response. Ksport utilizes a 2-piece disc assembly for these kits, which effectively reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. Many applications offer a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing warping or cupping of the braking surface.
