The Ksport Procomp Front Big Brake Kit offers a sophisticated, direct bolt-on upgrade to significantly enhance your vehicle's stopping power, especially under sustained high-heat conditions. The calipers are constructed from a single billet of aerospace-quality forged aluminum, providing exceptional strength, light weight, and resistance to corrosion. This one-piece design eliminates weak spots found in cast or welded calipers, preventing fracturing, warpage, and failure. Standard features include high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. This kit utilizes two-piece rotors, available in either cross-drilled or slotted designs. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler, while slotted rotors are advised for track use due to their ability to dissipate heat, dust, and gases more effectively. The two-piece rotor design includes lightweight center sections made from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, reducing rotational mass for quicker stopping and improved brake response. This design also allows the outer rotor section to expand and contract independently, minimizing warping from heat buildup and acting as heat sinks to transfer heat away faster. Included in the standard kit are calipers, 356mm x 32mm two-piece rotors, SC5 Street Pads, and D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines. The stainless-steel lines prevent expansion under pressure, leading to a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. The SC5 Street Pads offer optimal performance for street and occasional track use, minimizing brake dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for those seeking maximum stopping power under extreme track conditions, though these are not recommended for street use. The kit also allows for customization of caliper color, center bell upgrades, and pad types.
