This Supercomp model integrates advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously refresh the brake pad surface during braking. The kit's extreme lightweight one-piece caliper is CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet and weighs just over 5 lbs. It features a differential bore configuration with integrated protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard components include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design offers improved pad wear and increased caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems. The included stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure, ensuring consistent braking force. Ksport employs a 2-piece disc assembly, which effectively reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. Some applications offer a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping or braking surface cupping. All rotors undergo heat treatment and balancing before shipment to ensure maximum performance. For vehicles primarily used on the track, slotted rotors are recommended, while cross-drilled rotors are advised for daily driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler.
