6-Piston ProComp Red Caliper with 380mm Slotted Rotors

This kit integrates advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously cool the brake pad surface during operation. Constructed with an extreme lightweight, differential bore caliper machined from aircraft-grade billet aluminum, this caliper weighs just over 5 lbs. It incorporates aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates for durability and performance. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems, while stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. The kit utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating design also mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing rotor warping or cupping. The unique slot design on the rotor minimizes braking noise and effectively expels gas and pad debris. This specific kit features slotted rotors, recommended for vehicles that see more track use than daily driving, as opposed to cross-drilled rotors which tend to run cooler and are recommended for daily driven vehicles. This particular kit is specified for the 8L Chassis, for Euro 1996-2003 Audi A3 Quattro models. It is important to note that the OEM handbrake function will not function with this kit installed. As with many aftermarket big brake kits, compatibility with certain OEM or other aftermarket handbrake systems may be limited or impossible.
