The HP Tuners Diesel Switch is a 6-position rotary switch controller designed for use with HP Tuners' Switch on the Fly (SOTF) Operating System (OS). It allows for changing between a stock calibration and up to five custom maps with a simple turn of the switch. The controller features a knurled aluminum knob and position dial, and includes a 5-foot OBDII pass-through cable.

The HP Tuners Diesel Switch is a hardware component designed to work with specific HP Tuners Switch on the Fly (SOTF) Operating Systems (OS) for GM L5P and Cummins CM2450/CM2350 applications. This 6-position rotary switch controller enables users to seamlessly switch between their stock calibration and up to five custom performance maps without needing to stop and re-flash their ECM. Constructed with a durable knurled aluminum knob and position dial, the switch also includes a 5-foot OBDII pass-through cable for convenient connectivity. While the switch itself offers a direct interface for map selection, HP Tuners notes that the Diesel Switch is application-specific and not universal. For GM L5P applications (2017+), an upgraded HP Tuners E41 ECM is required. Similarly, for Cummins CM2350/CM2450 applications (2013-2018 and 2019-2024 respectively), an HP Tuners Dodge Smart Access Cable is necessary to enable SOTF functionality. Mounting the switch within the truck's cabin is made easier with optional OBDII port mounting brackets, available for separate purchase, and HP Tuners even provides downloadable files to 3D print custom brackets for seamless integration. The SOTF OS, when paired with the Diesel Switch, allows for complete control and performance optimization of diesel engines by enabling on-the-fly map selection, ideal for drivers who frequently switch between different driving conditions or performance levels.
