The Cobb Tuning 6-Speed Front Shifter Bushing is engineered to replace the stock rubber bushing located at the shifter mechanism's anchor point, specifically designed for 2004-2021 Subaru WRX STI and 2007-2009 Legacy GT spec.B models with a 6-speed manual transmission. This upgrade utilizes a 95A durometer urethane material, which is significantly tighter than the factory rubber. This increased durometer helps to eliminate the lateral slop, or side-to-side play, that commonly affects the stock shifter mechanism. The result is a more precise, engaging, and direct shift feel, providing better feedback from the drivetrain. This bushing is often paired with other drivetrain upgrades, such as short shifters or shift plates, to create a more complete and refined shifting experience.
