The Pfitzner Performance Gearboxes 6-speed helical synchro gearset is a heavy-duty upgrade designed as a direct replacement for the Nissan R35 GTR. Developed by one of the first manufacturers of this type of gearset for the R35, it has achieved consistent reliability in diverse applications including drag strip, hill climbs, and world time attack events. This gearset is designed and produced in-house at PPG's Australian factory, utilizing motorsport-grade steels for its wider gear profiles, ensuring strength, durability, and quiet operation. Each component undergoes a unique heat treatment and surface finishing process, contributing to the PPG product's distinctive appearance. It maintains factory gear ratios and requires no computer re-programming, making it suitable for both street and circuit applications while setting a benchmark for quiet everyday driving. PPG also offers a separate heavy-duty upgrade kit for the R35's 1st gear if the full set is not required. The compatibility list confirms fitment for Nissan GT-R R35 models from 2009 through 2023, all equipped with the VR38DETT engine and a 2-door body style.
