6" Standard Lift Kit

The BDS Suspension 6" Standard Lift Kit is engineered to provide a 6-inch increase in ride height for your Toyota Tacoma, significantly improving ground and tire clearances. Constructed from heavy-duty steel with durable, corrosion-resistant coatings like powdercoating and zinc-plating, this kit is built to withstand harsh conditions and ensure long-lasting service. This comprehensive lift system allows for the fitment of larger tires, up to 35x12.50 with 18x9 or 20x9 wheels (4.5" max backspacing), though some trimming may be required. The kit includes heavy-duty front and rear crossmembers, a full-width belly skid plate, and multipoint differential relocation brackets for a solid subframe and improved off-road protection. High-strength ductile iron steering knuckles are featured, offering optional on-road handling with ESC System compatibility. Installation of the BDS 823FS kit requires several specific steps and tools. Minor welding and frame bracket modification are necessary. A strut compressor is essential for installation, and stock wheels cannot be reinstalled. The system is compatible with 2WD PreRunner models but cannot be used with 17" wheels. A professional alignment is recommended after installation, which typically takes 6-8 hours and is rated at a difficulty level of 3 out of 5. Important exclusions for this kit include TRD Pro models.
