This direct replacement clutch fan offers a 60% increase in airflow, which can lead to faster cool-down times, particularly beneficial for track use. Installation is straightforward, involving the removal of just four bolts from the existing fan. Constructed with a metal center and ABS plastic blades, this fan matches the OEM material composition while offering superior performance. It has the same weight (1.41lbs) as the OEM fan but features a slightly larger diameter (16.92" vs 16.33"). Dyno testing has indicated no loss in engine power, and in some cases, a slight gain of around 1% due to reduced heat soak. It's important to note a specific fitment exclusion: this fan cannot be used in conjunction with Nismo engine mounts on S13/180sx/240sx models. The increased motor height from these mounts (approximately 0.78" or 20mm) will cause the fan, which is 0.59" larger in diameter, to contact the radiator shroud. However, S14/S15 models with Nismo engine mounts are compatible. Additionally, do not trim the fan if it interferes with intercooler piping; ensure at least 10-20mm of clearance around the fan, accounting for engine movement under load.
