600 Short Block 86.1mm Forged Piston Engine Assembly

The IAG 600 Short Block is engineered for stock or modified FA20 DIT Subaru engines, providing a robust foundation to withstand the increased cylinder pressures generated by higher boost levels. Designed for strength, this short block utilizes IAG Spec H-Beam forged connecting rods paired with ARP2000 rod bolts and race-spec ACL or King XPG rod bearings. The assembly begins with brand-new OEM Subaru FA20 case halves, which are meticulously bored and honed to 86.1mm. It incorporates a new 2015+ Subaru FA20 crankshaft matched with ACL or King XPG main bearings, and is sealed with new OEM main case bolts and sealant. Key components include IAG Spec JE FSR 86.1mm forged pistons, crafted from 2618 T6 alloy for high strength and reduced friction. These pistons feature an asymmetrical skirt design for weight reduction and improved flame travel. The short block also boasts modified internal oil passages within the new OEM cases to ensure adequate oil flow and enhance overall reliability, a critical improvement over stock oiling systems. This short block has a power output rating of 600 BHP and a compression ratio of 12.5:1 with a standard gasket thickness. It is compatible with 2013-2016 Scion FR-S, 2013-2020 Subaru BRZ, and 2017-2020 Toyota 86 models.
