The Mobilgear 600 XP 150 is an extra high performance gear oil engineered with outstanding extreme pressure characteristics and load-carrying capabilities. This advanced formulation is built to meet the demands of modern gearbox technology, which often involves smaller units with higher power throughput. Mobilgear 600 XP Series oils provide crucial protection for gears, bearings, and seals, addressing wear at its earliest stages, such as micropitting, which can lead to significant gear tooth damage. The product exceeds industry requirements for bearing wear protection, offering up to 15 times the protection as measured by the FAG FE 8 test. Its balanced formulation ensures maximum wear and corrosion protection while maintaining compatibility with common gearbox seal materials, thus helping to prevent leaks and keep contamination out. This enhanced protection contributes to improved equipment reliability and increased productivity. This gear oil is recommended for industrial spur, helical, and bevel enclosed gears operating at bulk oil temperatures up to 100°C (212°F), especially those subjected to heavy or shock loads. It also finds broad application in marine gearing and can be used in non-gear applications such as highly loaded, slow-speed plain and rolling contact bearings.
