The Improved Racing low-profile oil cooler adapter (EGM-112-T6) directly replaces the factory GM LS oil bypass cover, situated just above the oil filter, to integrate an oil cooler setup. This adapter is engineered with an integrated thermostat that activates at 200°F (93.3°C), helping to reduce engine wear and horsepower loss by preventing oil temperatures from dropping below optimal levels. It maintains a minimum oil temperature of 200°F (93°C) +/- 5°F under most conditions, facilitating quicker engine warm-up, especially in colder weather. The unit's low-profile design, with a maximum thickness of 1.30 inches, is specifically crafted to provide maximum header clearance, fitting most long tube headers, including those found in FD RX-7 LS swaps with JTR and Spoolin Performance headers. Constructed from a single piece of 6061-T6 billet aluminum with a black MIL-A-8625 Type II anodized finish, the adapter features Viton seals throughout and comes with a Lifetime Warranty, proudly made in the USA.
