Show original supplier description

The Porsche 61H Modegrau basecoat provides a professional-grade finish engineered for excellent color matching and outstanding opacity. This Luna OEM Basecoat Series paint is formulated for fast, hassle-free application as it arrives ready to spray without requiring further reduction. Its advanced pigment technology delivers vibrant depth in fewer coats, making it suitable for both seasoned technicians and DIY painters working on vehicles like the Taycan, 911, 718 Boxter, and 718 Spyder RS. To achieve optimal results, ensure the surface is clean and free of contaminants before sanding with P400–P600 grit paper to promote adhesion. Application should occur in a well-ventilated environment with temperatures between 65–75 °F and humidity levels from 40–60%. Proper personal protective equipment, including a respirator rated for solvent vapors, nitrile gloves, and safety goggles, is required during use. For best performance, apply two 75% wet coats, allowing 10–15 minutes for the paint to flash between layers. A 3rd control or effect coat may be necessary for specific finishes. Wait 30 minutes after the final coat before applying a VHS or standard clearcoat to ensure proper durability and gloss.
