The Flaming River FR305PWRC is a Quick Ratio Power Rack and Pinion Cradle System designed to replace the early long shaft steering box in 1962-1966 Chevrolet Chevy II models. This system features a true fixture welded mounting cradle that fits between the frame rails and bolts in place using the original chassis location. It installs easily with simple hand tools and provides a full turning radius with more responsive steering than the original system. The kit includes an all-new power rack and pinion with more than 6 inches of travel, adjustable billet mounts, and a paintable tilt column with mounting hardware and wiring connector. Universal joints and a patented rack and pinion cradle system are also included. Power kits are available as front steer or rear steer. The system is pressure and fluid tested and certified.
