62TE SHIFT KIT Valve Body Repair Kit

The TransGo 62TE SHIFT KIT® Valve Body Repair Kit is engineered to resolve common issues found in the 62TE automatic transmission, typically affecting 2007 and newer Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, and Volkswagen front-wheel-drive vehicles. This kit targets prevalent complaints such as transmission overheating, torque converter drain-back, delayed engagement (both forward and reverse, cold or hot), and noticeable clunks during coasting (6-5 or 3-2 downshifts). These issues are often linked to wear in the pressure regulator valve and torque converter limit valve bores within the valve body. The kit includes USA-made, drop-in hardened steel pressure regulator and TC limit valves with extended lands. These redesigned valves restore hydraulic integrity by utilizing unworn areas of the bore, increasing bore longevity and requiring no reaming or machining. Further internal issues addressed by this kit include problems stemming from a malfunctioning underdrive clutch inner piston seal, which can cause a 6-5 coast clunk. TransGo provides a specially designed Tuff™ Seal and expander wire to rectify this. Additionally, it combats age-related shrinking of the low-reverse piston housing gasket, a cause of delayed engagement and 3-2 coast downshift clunk, with a specially engineered non-shrinking gasket. The kit includes a heavy-duty TCC solenoid retaining bracket and hardware, drop-in USA-made hardened steel PR and TC limit valves with calibration springs, a non-shrinking low/reverse piston housing gasket, six high-temperature accumulator seals and expanders, and a self-expanding Tuff™ underdrive seal and expander wire. It is noted that high mileage vehicles may also exhibit codes related to solenoid switch valve bore wear, for which separate solenoid switch valve kits are available.
