650 Series Siren Amplifier and Light Controller

The Federal Signal 650 Series is a remote microphone-controlled siren amplifier designed for emergency vehicles. This system allows for all sound and light functions to be managed via a compact, easy-to-use microphone control head featuring rubberized buttons and three progressive "slide switch-like" positions. The microprocessor-based amplifier ensures reliability and efficiency, incorporating plug-and-play connections for simplified installation. Key features of the 650 Series include a 100-watt speaker output, supporting sound modes like WAIL, YELP, PRIORITY, MANUAL (peak and hold), and AIR HORN. The unit is equipped with (8) 10 A relay positions for controlling lights and auxiliary equipment. It also offers horn ring transfer capability and a remote on/off switch box with built-in PA volume control, providing comprehensive control for emergency operations. The amplifier is designed to operate from any 12 Vdc negative ground vehicle electrical system and is short-circuit protected. It can be powered through an installed power distribution center (PDC) or directly from the vehicle’s battery. The package includes versatile mounting brackets for both the microphone and amplifier, a 16.5-ft wire harness, and all necessary hardware, facilitating a quick and straightforward installation process. The siren system comes with a three-year warranty.
