The BTR Platinum LS Dual Spring Kit is engineered for Gen III and Gen IV LS engines, providing exceptional valve control and durability suitable for a wide range of performance applications, including mild daily drivers, 600 hp naturally aspirated strokers, and 1000 hp turbocharged engines. This dual-spring kit features polished springs with specifications including 155 lbs at 1.780", 380 lbs at 1.180", and 400 lbs at 1.130", with coil bind at 1.070". It is designed to accommodate up to .660" lift and is intended for use with stock rocker arms. The kit is a direct drop-in for LS heads with a 15° valve angle and is compatible with LS7 heads when a .030” shim (part # SS030) is used. Included components consist of 16 SP001-1 dual polished springs, 32 VL7°8MM-1 locks, 16 retainers (available in Titanium or chromoly steel), 16 locators for stock or bronze guides, and 16 VS LS valve seals. This kit is specifically designed for 15° LS heads and LS7 heads with appropriate shims. However, it will not fit LS9 engines; for those applications, part # SK006 is recommended. If using roller rocker arms, part # SK002 should be considered instead.
