Overview

The Mag-Hytec #68RFE is a transmission pan designed for Dodge trucks with the 6.7L Diesel engine, model year 2007.5 and up. This pan increases fluid capacity by 3 to 4 quarts over stock and features an o-ring sealed magnetic drain plug.

It includes a bolt kit and drain plug. The internal spin-on filter is not included but is available at auto parts stores, and Mag-Hytec supplies a flat pick-up filter screen. The overall height at the deepest side is 4 5/8 inches.

The Mag-Hytec #68RFE transmission pan is engineered for 2007.5 and newer Dodge trucks equipped with the 6.7L Diesel engine and the 68RFE transmission. This robust pan offers increased fluid capacity, holding an additional 3 to 4 quarts over the stock unit, which can help reduce transmission temperatures and extend fluid life. Construction features include a durable aluminum casting with thick walls to prevent gasket flange bending during installation. The package includes a necessary bolt kit and the drain plug. Note that the internal spin-on filter is not provided but is readily available from dealers or auto parts stores; a flat pick-up filter screen is supplied with the pan. This pan is designed to fit the factory Dodge #68RFE transmission body. It may also be compatible with #45RFE / 545RFE transmissions if clearance issues with the cross-over exhaust pipe or cross member are addressed, such as through exhaust relocation or conversion to dual exhaust. Installation instructions and a service bulletin for bolt torque specifications are available from Mag-Hytec.
