69-70 Chevy Impala RTX Instrument System

This Dakota Digital RTX gauge system is specifically designed for 1969-70 Chevrolet Caprice and Impala vehicles. It is engineered to maintain a classic, stock aesthetic while integrating advanced, late-model features. Key functionalities include LED backlighting with over 30 user-selectable color options, high-definition TFT message centers for comprehensive data display, and a user-friendly central control box that simplifies installation and setup. The system incorporates traditional analog gauges for speedometer (ranging from 0-120 MPH, with an optional metric version of 0-200 km/h), water temperature (100-260°F, with an optional metric version of 40-120°C), and fuel level (E, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, F). Additionally, it features digital bar graph gauges for tachometer (0-8,000 RPM), oil pressure (0-80 psi), and voltmeter (9-17 VDC). Standard digital displays provide odometer readings (one-time user settable, million-mile), dual trip meters (0-9,999.9), a 12-hour clock, and an estimated range/miles-to-empty function. Performance metrics include a 0-60 MPH timer (0-100 km/h), 1/4 and 1/8 mile time, 1/4 and 1/8 mile end speed (trap speed), high-speed recall, and high RPM recall. Integrated indicators cover turn signals (Left/Right), high beam, check engine, parking brake, cruise control (On/On & Engaged when equipped), gear position (requires optional GSS-3000 sensor), 4x4 (when equipped), wait to start (when equipped), and two auxiliary input indicators with user-programmable labels. A red LED warning indicator is built into the sweep of each analog gauge (excluding the speedometer) to alert the driver of warning conditions. The system includes water temperature and oil pressure sensors, a cable-driven speed sensor/generator (requiring approximately 5 inches of clearance for installation; a relocation kit is sold separately if more clearance is needed), and various NPT bushings (1/8", 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" NPT, along with 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 threads). Control is managed via an included two-sided pushbutton rocker switch or a free mobile app available for Android and Apple devices, which also offers real-time gauge readouts and diagnostic capabilities. Speedometer and fuel level calibration are simplified through the pushbutton switch or mobile app. Please note that the dash bezel is not included and the system is designed to utilize an OEM or reproduction-style bezel.
