The K&N 69 Series Typhoon Cold Air Intake System is engineered to boost induction power for 2005-2009 Ford Mustang 4.0L V6 vehicles. It directly replaces the factory air filter and intake tube, aiming to improve throttle response and overall engine performance. Installation is designed to be straightforward, typically completed in 60 minutes or less with basic hand tools. The system utilizes an open-style airbox for maximum airflow and a satisfying induction sound. The K&N high-flow air filter requires cleaning only every 100,000 miles under normal highway driving conditions, and is backed by a No-Hassle Lifetime Limited Warranty, which is stated not to void the vehicle's warranty. This K&N Typhoon air intake system is street legal in all US states and is CARB Approved with EO Number D-269-37. It is guaranteed to increase horsepower and torque, with an estimated gain of 7.07 HP at 5200 RPM and 7.2 lb-ft of torque. The replacement filter is K&N RU-1048.
