The K&N Performance Typhoon Air Intake System, part of the 69 Series Typhoon Kits, is a cold-air intake designed to significantly improve your vehicle's airflow and filtration. It features a durable, mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube with a silver finish, paired with K&N's signature washable and reusable High-Flow Air Filter, which utilizes oiled cotton gauze media for superior performance. This system is engineered to replace the factory air filter and intake tube, offering a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque, with a claimed gain of 9.97 HP and 10.4 lb-ft of torque. The filter itself requires cleaning only every 100,000 miles under normal highway conditions, and the entire system comes with a No-Hassle Lifetime Limited Warranty that will not void your vehicle's warranty. Installation is designed to be straightforward, typically completable in 60 minutes or less with basic hand tools. This intake system is street legal in all US states and has received TUV approval in Europe. It includes 5 stainless steel clamps and 3 couplers for a secure fitment. The replacement filter for this system is part number RC-5284, with an alternate option of RU-5284.
