6R140-3 Billet Quadralock Torque Converter

The SunCoast 6R140-3 Quadralock Billet Torque Converter revolutionizes converter lock-up strategies with its captured clutch design, which eliminates the need to exhaust fluid from the backside of the apply piston, allowing for much quicker apply rates than conventional torque converters. Constructed with a CNC machined billet forged one-piece cover and a 4140 HTSR billet steel clutch retain ring, this converter is built for demanding applications. Key features include ADCCT Anti Drag Captured Clutch Technology, Torrington thrust bearings, an increased clutch count, an upgraded custom sprag, and a billet stator for improved efficiency. It utilizes the factory lock-up clutch damper and boasts over 1,000 PSI of additional clamping force. Multiple stall speeds are available, with this specific model offering approximately 1900 RPM for improved turbo spooling, especially beneficial for towing heavy loads and for street/strip use. This torque converter is identical to the 6R140-1 model but features a custom stator that allows for an additional 200-300 RPM of stall. Drivability remains identical to stock, making it suitable for individuals who have upgraded to a slightly larger turbo and still tow regularly.
