6R140 Category 3 Rebuild Kit

The Sun Coast 6R140 Category 3 Rebuild Kit provides essential components for overhauling the Ford 6.7 Powerstroke transmission. It also addresses a common failure point with a new pump bushing, crucial for restoring lubrication pressure and preventing catastrophic failure. Included in this comprehensive kit are all-new Carbon Graphitic clutches, custom-machined steels, an improved heavy-duty 4-5-6 Overdrive Clutch pack with an increased clutch count, and a custom-machined Overdrive apply piston. A new gasket, seal, and O-ring sealing kit, along with a new transmission filter kit, are also provided to ensure a complete rebuild. The 6R140 transmission itself, used in the 6.7L Powerstroke, is a robust 6-speed unit featuring a one-piece bell housing for increased rigidity, a deep first gear for towing, and double overdrive for fuel economy. It utilizes a Lepelletier geartrain and five clutch sets to achieve its six forward gears. The factory torque converter is enhanced with an exclusive long travel, ultra high capacity turbine damper to manage the 6.7L Powerstroke's output. This specific kit is designed for the 2011-2019 Ford Powerstroke 6.7L models.
