The Curt 81970 is a safety latch clevis hook designed for connecting trailer safety chains or binder chains. It features a forged, heat-treated steel construction for durability and wear resistance. This hook is rated for 40,000 lbs. gross trailer weight and includes a spring-loaded safety latch to ensure a secure attachment.

Protected by a yellow zinc-plated finish, this clevis hook meets requirements for high-test, transport, and alloy chain. It comes with a hook pin and cotter pin for easy and secure attachment to a chain link or cable loop. The opening size is 1 1/3 inches, and the pin diameter is 17/32 inches.
