The VRSF 7.5" Competition HD Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) is engineered as a direct bolt-on upgrade for your BMW's OEM intercooler, specifically designed for N54 and N55 engines. This kit aims to combat heat soak, a common issue with the stock intercooler that leads to power loss and potential pre-detonation. By utilizing a custom bar and plate core with a staggered, offset, high-density fin pack, the VRSF unit significantly reduces intake air temperatures while minimizing pressure drop. The "Competition HD" core is notable for its size and dense fin pack, offering superior heat absorption and dissipation compared to stock tube-and-fin designs.
