The VRSF 7.5" Stepped Race Intercooler FMIC Upgrade Kit is engineered to enhance the performance of your 2007-2012 BMW 135i, 335i, and 335is equipped with N54 or N55 engines. By effectively cooling charged air, it ensures more consistent power delivery and increased reliability. At its core, this intercooler utilizes an ultra-high-density, 1100hp custom bar and plate design with staggered and offset internal and external fin packs. This construction provides superior intake temperature reduction with minimal pressure drop. The bar and plate design is also more durable than the OEM tube and fin core, offering better resistance to debris. The intercooler features CFD-engineered cast aluminum end tanks for improved flow and durability compared to sheet metal alternatives, finished in a protective silver coating. This VRSF intercooler is specifically designed for vehicles with upgraded turbochargers and has been featured on record-breaking builds achieving up to 1100WHP. Installation is estimated to take less than 2.5 hours, and the kit includes all necessary components, such as custom molded couplers and stainless steel t-bolt clamps. It retains the factory fan shroud tabs, though trimming of the black plastic shroud behind the bumper may be required. The intercooler is compatible with both Left Hand Drive (LHD) and Right Hand Drive (RHD) models, as well as all XI variants.
