The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1934A is a remanufactured axle assembly, meticulously rebuilt to provide precision and reliability for your 1998-2000 Chevy S10 or S15 2WD with a 3.08 gear ratio and Posi Limited Slip Differential. This assembly undergoes a rigorous remanufacturing process. All tubes are inspected and straightened to OEM specifications, and housings are tested for surface wear and cracks. Internals, including ring and pinions, gears, clutches, and carriers, are subjected to 100% inspection. All bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced with new components. The housing is cleaned using a state-of-the-art hydro blasting and rinsing process to restore an OEM finish. Precision setup and longevity are ensured through correct rolling torque established using inch-pound measurements, and proper gear backlash is set for optimal lubrication and quiet operation. Key specifications include a GM 7.5-inch ring gear, a 3.08 ratio (GU4 option), and Posi Traction (G80 option). The semi-floating axle type is standard. This assembly includes the cover but excludes hubs, brakes, backing plates, and axle shafts. Fluid is not included. This unit is specifically built for 2WD models and features a Posi LSD for enhanced traction. A refundable core charge of $400 applies, which is returned upon receipt of your old, salvageable part.
