7.5" Stepped Race Front Mount Intercooler

The VRSF 7.5" Stepped Race Intercooler is engineered as a direct replacement for the factory intercooler in 2007-2012 BMW 135i, 335i/xi, and 335is models equipped with N54 and N55 engines. The intercooler utilizes a custom bar and plate core with a staggered and offset fin pack, offering superior intake temperature reduction with minimal pressure drop. This robust core is more durable than OEM tube-and-fin designs, capable of withstanding impacts from debris. Construction features CFD-engineered, one-piece seamless cast aluminum end tanks for improved flow and durability compared to multi-piece or sheet metal designs. The intercooler is finished in a bright silver coating to protect against corrosion. Installation is straightforward, typically completed in under 2.5 hours, and includes all necessary components such as custom molded couplers, stainless steel t-bolt clamps, and mounting hardware. The design retains the factory fan shroud and requires only minor trimming of the black plastic shroud behind the bumper, with no bumper modification needed.
