7.5" Stepped Race Intercooler

The VRSF 7.5" Stepped Race Intercooler is an FMIC upgrade kit engineered to replace the factory intercooler in 2007-2012 BMW 135i/335i/335is models with N54 and N55 engines. By keeping intake temperatures down, it enables higher horsepower gains and increased reliability, especially when running tunes with elevated boost levels. The core of this intercooler is a custom, ultra-high-density 1100hp bar and plate design featuring staggered and offset internal and external fins. This construction minimizes pressure drop while maximizing charge air cooling. The bar and plate design also offers superior durability compared to the OEM tube and fin core, better withstanding impacts from road debris. VRSF has developed this intercooler specifically for vehicles with upgraded twin or single turbo setups and it has been featured in record-setting builds, including one achieving 1100WHP. Construction includes CFD-engineered cast aluminum end tanks, which offer improved flow and greater durability than traditional sheet metal designs. The intercooler is finished in a bright silver coating to protect against corrosion. VRSF backs this product with a lifetime warranty. The kit comes complete with custom-molded couplers, stainless steel t-bolt clamps, and mounting hardware, and it is designed for an easy installation in under 2.5 hours. It retains the factory fan shroud and fits both Left Hand Drive (LHD) and Right Hand Drive (RHD) models, as well as all XI models. Note that the race intercooler requires minor trimming of the black plastic shroud behind the bumper, but not the bumper itself.
